Planning Artist Shots - For the website

PHOTO SET 1

LOCATION - Grassy field dipping down into a valley. Wind blowing the grass. Lots of wild flowers and colour. A field that is well know by me, I have been there many times and know that there is never anyone there - this will make taking the photos easier. 

POSE - Back turned to the camera, obscuring his face. You can only make out that he is a man.

WEATHER - Shot on a day with blue sky, sunny weather and a slight breeze to sway the grass and create more of a ‘Heidi’ feel to the field. Hopefully some white clouds to add a subtle colour contrast in the background and intensify the green of the grass.

COSTUME - Dark clothing, in contrast to the colourful environment. This will make my artist stand out more. 

PHOTO SET 2

LOCATION - In the woods, with a darker lighting. Some light streaming in through the trees. This adds an element of uncertainty and mystery as to who my artist really is and what he looks like.

POSE - Face turned to the camera, you can see his silhouette but the lighting means that you cannot see his actual facial features. 

WEATHER - Sunny, to let light through the trees.

COSTUME - Again, darker clothing to keep the unknown and mysterious element. I also want to keep it clear that this is the same person, and as you cant see his face, clothing will be a clear indicator of this.

Taylor Swift  - 'You Need To Calm Down’ Directed by Drew Kirsch & Taylor Swift CINEMATOGRAPHY This video was shot in Santa Clarita, California. This means that the colours are all very bright and vivid, as the bright sun enhances the bold colours. This in turn keeps all of the scenes exciting and visually interesting to look at.  In addition, the bright colours and lack of dark shadows reflects the overall positive LGBT pride and happy, relaxed tone of the piece, with hints of mockery towards those that are against sexuality freedom and self-expression. Drones are frequently used to capture birds-eye shots of a pool float in the middle of a large paddling pool. This shot type allows us to see the whole pool, and highlights the individual in the centre, creating a more impactful shot.
